Welcome to Monterey Bay Region’s Rideshare Week, October 6-10, 2008!

Travel Change Makes CentsThis year marks the 26th annual celebration of Rideshare Week. Rideshare Week is the Monterey Bay Region’s tri-county annual promotion designed to increase awareness about the benefits of using sustainable transportation such as carpooling, vanpooling, riding the bus, bicycling, walking, and telecommuting. Commuters are asked to make a commitment to use a sustainable form of transportation at least one day during Rideshare Week, October 6-10, in order to help relieve our congested streets and highways, improve air quality, and save energy resources and commute costs.

Win an Eco-Tour!Rideshare Week aims to educate and remind individuals about their sustainable transportation choices. And, as a way to encourage commuters to try sustainable transportation, we offer many fabulous prizes including a grand prize of an eco-tour of your choosing! Winners guaranteed from Monterey, Santa Benito, and Santa Cruz counties. Eco-tour is valued at $1,000.
