This year marks the 25th annual celebration of Rideshare Week. Rideshare Week is Commute Alternatives and San Benito County Rideshare’s annual promotion designed to increase awareness about the benefits of using sustainable transportation such as carpooling, vanpooling, riding the bus, bicycling, walking, and telecommuting. Commuters are asked to make a commitment to use a sustainable form of transportation at least one day during Rideshare Week, October 1-5 in order to help relieve our congested streets and highways, improve air quality, and save energy and commute costs.

Rideshare Week aims to educate and remind individuals how easy it is to use sustainable transportation. And, as way to encourage commuters to try sustainable transportation, we offer many fabulous prizes including a grand prize of a trip around the world!

Commuters can also receive free information including a carpool, vanpool or bicycle matchlist, emergency guaranteed ride home program information, and information on walking, bicycling and telecommuting.
